NC State Gets Verbal Commitment From Virginia’s Olivia Fisher

Olivia Fisher has given the NC State Wolfpack another verbal commitment for the Class of 2021. Fisher swims for Poseidon Swimming Inc. She is a versatile swimmer with strong breaststroke, sprint freestyle and IM times.

Her best times are:

  • 50 Breast 29.21
  • 100 Breast 1:02.51
  • 200 Breast 2:17.76
  • 50 Free 23.35
  • 100 Free 50.87
  • 200 IM 2:01.90

The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American is the defending Virginia 5A High School state champion in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.50). While representing Atlee High School at last year’s meet she also finished second in the 100 free (51.43). At the 2015 meet Fisher took home state titles in the 50 free (23.67) and 100 free (50.92).

In the last year, the high school senior has dropped just over a half second in the 100 breaststroke, five seconds in the 200, and one and a half in the 200 IM.

The Wolfpack were runner ups at the 2016 ACC meet. At last year’s meet, she would have been a C finalist in the 100 breast and 200 IM.

Her Poseidon teammates Julianna Jones and Hailey Ladd have also given verbal commitments to start college swimming in the 2017-2018 season.
